The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics to a range of pupils across different year groups.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that are engaging, challenging, and aligned with the Edexcel syllabus.
  • Support pupils in preparing for university entrance and national competitions such as the UKMT Team Mathematical Challenge.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities, including Maths clubs, academic surgeries, and university preparation meetings.
  • Contribute to the pastoral care and overall development of pupils within the school community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school's academic standards and departmental reputation.
  • Provide individual and group tutoring to support student learning and achievement.
  • Engage in professional development and ongoing training to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience in teaching Mathematics at a secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on a range of responsibilities.
  • Commitment to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Further Mathematics.
  • Experience in preparing students for university entrance and national competitions.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities related to Mathematics.
  • Experience in a boarding school environment.
