The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and driven Residential Assistant Sports Coach to deliver high-quality sport and PE programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates or undergraduates interested in sports coaching or teaching. The role offers a 12-month fixed-term contract with generous CPD opportunities and on-site accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver first-class team and specialist 1-1 coaching in sports such as netball, hockey, rugby, cricket or strength and conditioning.
- Assist with pastoral duties and contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.
- Support pupils in developing a lifelong interest and love of sport.
- Collaborate with the Sports Department to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive and engaging sports programme.
- Participate in coaching across a range of sports throughout the academic year.
- Engage with students in a positive and motivating manner to encourage participation and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Higher Education qualification or currently working towards a degree.
- Experience in playing and coaching sport to a high standard.
- Passion for sport and a commitment to developing young athletes.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Specialisation in two sports from netball, hockey, rugby, cricket or strength and conditioning.
- Experience in teaching or a desire to develop teaching skills.
- Knowledge of a range of sports and the ability to coach multiple sports.
- Experience with child protection and safeguarding procedures.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £18,300 per annum.
