Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music lessons to students across a range of age groups.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative music curricula.
  • Direct and lead both choral and instrumental ensembles.
  • Support students in developing their musical talents and skills.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the school’s co-curricular programme.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Participate in the school’s pastoral care and boarding community activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in music regularly.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree in music or a related field.
  • Strong keyboard skills and the ability to perform at a high standard.
  • Experience in teaching music to students of various ages and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to working in a boarding school environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in choral and instrumental directing.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Previous experience working in a state boarding school setting.
  • A passion for fostering student development through music.
