The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Food Technology Technician to support the Food Technology Department in delivering high-quality technical and administrative services. This role plays a key part in ensuring the department runs efficiently and effectively, contributing to the educational experience of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Food Technology Department with technical and administrative tasks.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of equipment and resources.
- Provide guidance and support to students during practical sessions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to departmental operations.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of food technology lessons and activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the department.
- Support the continuous improvement of the Food Technology curriculum.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualifications in food technology or a related field.
- Experience in a school or educational setting, preferably in a technical or administrative role.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in food preparation or catering.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Familiarity with educational software and systems.
- Previous experience in a school kitchen or similar environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: £23,625 to £26,020 per annum pro-rata.
