The Opportunity:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Music Teacher to deliver peripatetic music lessons to Prep and Senior pupils. This role offers the opportunity to develop students' musical abilities through solo and ensemble performance, sight reading, and a broad instrumental repertoire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality peripatetic music lessons to Prep and Senior pupils.
• Develop students’ musicianship through solo and ensemble performance opportunities.
• Build a wide instrumental repertoire and encourage sight reading skills.
• Collaborate with the Director of Performing Arts and support the school’s music programme.
• Support students in preparing for solo and ensemble performances.
• Manage a flexible schedule while committing to termly timetabling.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified music teacher with experience in peripatetic teaching.
• Strong instrumental skills, particularly in woodwind.
• Ability to inspire and engage students of all ages.
• Commitment to developing students’ musical and performance skills.
• Experience in teaching both solo and ensemble performance.

Preferred

• Versatile musicians with expertise in multiple instruments.
• Experience working in a school or educational setting.
• Familiarity with curriculum requirements for music education.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
