The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Speech and Drama Teacher to deliver peripatetic LAMDA lessons to students in both Prep and Senior years. This role offers flexibility while contributing to a school that values creativity, innovation, and student development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging LAMDA lessons to Prep and Senior pupils.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and performance goals.
  • Support students in building confidence, communication, and performance skills.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Performing Arts and other teachers to enhance the performing arts programme.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to encourage growth and development.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with the school on student progress.
  • Participate in school events and co-curricular activities as required.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Speech and Drama.
  • Strong knowledge of LAMDA syllabi and assessment criteria.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students of all ages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching peripatetic lessons.
  • Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum.
  • Experience with performing arts or theatre production.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work within a supply and demand framework.
