The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Speech and Drama Teacher to deliver peripatetic LAMDA lessons to students in both Prep and Senior years. This role offers flexibility while contributing to a school that values creativity, innovation, and student development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging LAMDA lessons to Prep and Senior pupils.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and performance goals.
- Support students in building confidence, communication, and performance skills.
- Collaborate with the Director of Performing Arts and other teachers to enhance the performing arts programme.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to encourage growth and development.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with the school on student progress.
- Participate in school events and co-curricular activities as required.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Speech and Drama.
- Strong knowledge of LAMDA syllabi and assessment criteria.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students of all ages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching peripatetic lessons.
- Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum.
- Experience with performing arts or theatre production.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work within a supply and demand framework.
