The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate MYP and DP Mathematics & Physics Teacher to join our Mathematics Department. This role offers the chance to shape young minds through innovative teaching and contribute to a school culture rooted in excellence, respect, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver inspiring lessons aligned with IB MYP and DP curriculum standards.
  • Provide regular and constructive feedback to students to support their academic progress.
  • Maintain detailed records of student attainment using official platforms.
  • Support students in preparing for external examinations and in undertaking MYP Personal Projects and DP Extended Essays.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance departmental teaching practices and resources.
  • Participate in academic meetings and contribute to the school’s NEASC and IBO review processes.
  • Uphold the school’s code of conduct and promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and pastoral care.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • QTS/PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience teaching IB MYP or DP, or equivalent curricula.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related subject.
  • Demonstrable experience teaching students aged 11–18.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience working with IB curricula.
  • Experience in an international educational setting.
  • Knowledge of Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course.
  • Experience in co-curricular program training.
  • Experience in full-time teaching of 17–18 year olds.
