The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teacher of Economics to join our Senior School and inspire Year 12 and 13 students. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality lessons and support students applying to top universities worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and varied lessons in Economics and Business to A Level students.
  • Support students in university applications and provide guidance on preparation and wider reading.
  • Participate in extension programmes such as the Year 12 Extended Essay Competition.
  • Engage with students in co-curricular activities, including Economics Society and Model United Nations.
  • Modify teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Maintain high expectations of student behaviour and effort through effective classroom management.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve outstanding examination results.
  • Contribute to the pastoral and academic development of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good honours degree from a British university.
  • PGCE or other qualified teacher status for secondary education.
  • Recent experience teaching A Level Economics.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Native-level English speaking ability.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A Level Business.
  • Previous experience in an international school.
  • Recent teaching experience in a UK school.
