The Opportunity:
The Head of Educational Technology will lead the integration of technology in teaching and learning across the High/Secondary School, shaping the future of education through innovation and impactful strategies. This role is pivotal in driving the school’s digital transformation and enhancing student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the ICT and Computer Science curriculum from KS3 to KS5.
- Oversee staff development and training in educational technology.
- Manage resources and ensure the effective use of technology across the department.
- Collaborate with external partners to enhance technology integration in teaching.
- Support students in preparing for IGCSE and A-Level Computer Science exams.
- Develop innovative strategies to integrate digital tools into classroom practices.
- Ensure alignment with UK curriculum standards and educational goals.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Advanced Diploma or higher qualification in educational technology or design & technology.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in educational technology within a secondary school.
- Strong knowledge of UK curriculum requirements for ICT and Computer Science.
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams or departments.
- Excellent communication skills for working with staff, students, parents, and external partners.
- Proficiency in current educational technologies and software tools used in ICT and Computer Science.
Preferred
- Experience preparing students for IGCSE and A-Level Computer Science exams.
- Background in innovative pedagogical approaches and digital learning strategies.
- Experience in curriculum planning and resource management.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary between €35,000 and €42,000 depending on experience.
