The Opportunity:

As a Nurse - Medical Centre, you will play a key role in supporting the health and well-being of students within a dynamic and caring school community. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young people’s lives while working in a professional and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality medical care and support to students in a 24/7 on-site Medical Centre.
  • Collaborate with the school’s medical team to ensure the well-being of pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Deliver care that is both compassionate and in line with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Work flexibly across a 2-week rota, including overnight duties and INSET days.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
  • Support the school’s mission by promoting health education and wellness initiatives.
  • Assist with emergency care and first aid as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A qualified nurse with relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with young people.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
  • Experience in providing care in a school or educational setting is preferred.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working with boarding students or in a residential setting.
  • Knowledge of medical procedures and best practices in school health care.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in healthcare and education.
  • Experience in a 24/7 medical environment.
