The Opportunity:
As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the effective management of employee relations across a growing organization. This role offers the chance to influence and shape people management practices, contribute to policy development, and support managers in building strong, positive relationships with staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and capability issues.
- Support managers in conducting fair and timely investigations and preparing required documentation.
- Advise and coach line managers on effective people management and conflict resolution techniques.
- Collaborate with HR teams to develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and toolkits.
- Contribute to the delivery of employee relations projects and initiatives.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with managers, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Provide guidance on managing unplanned absence, probation, and other employee relations matters.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases in a complex environment.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and relevant case law.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in all work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coach and train line managers effectively.
- Experience working in an education or care environment is an advantage.
Preferred
- Experience with managing employee relations in large, multi-site organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the legislative and regulatory frameworks specific to education and care settings.
- Experience with HR software and digital tools for managing employee relations processes.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary ranging from £36,000 to £40,000.
