The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and well-qualified PE Teacher to join its thriving Sports Department. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a regional leading sports programme and to make a real impact on students' lives through physical education and sporting excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Physical Education and Games curriculum to students across all year groups.
- Teach a wide range of sports, including netball, hockey, cricket, and rugby, with expertise in some or all of these sports.
- Support the development of students' sporting skills and encourage them to achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to the school’s extensive Saturday fixture programme by coaching and managing teams throughout the academic year.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the school’s sports programme and promote inclusivity and participation.
- Engage in co-curricular activities and contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Utilise modern facilities and technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in PE.
- Ability to teach across a range of sports, including netball, hockey, cricket, and rugby.
- Experience in delivering PE at GCSE level.
- Commitment to promoting inclusivity and student well-being.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering A Level PE.
- Experience in coaching and managing sports teams.
- Familiarity with 1:1 digital learning and modern teaching technologies.
- Passion for promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
