The Opportunity:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will deliver specialist assessment and intervention to support pupils in an education setting. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to foster independence and help students thrive. This role offers opportunities for growth, research involvement, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver bespoke occupational therapy assessment and intervention to pupils with neurodivergent, developmental trauma, or SEMH needs.
  • Work collaboratively with education teams and other professionals to support pupil progress and independence.
  • Maintain and manage an occupational therapy caseload with the support of a designated clinical supervisor.
  • Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
  • Adhere to the school’s occupational therapy ways of working and professional standards.
  • Develop and implement sensory-informed practices where appropriate.
  • Document and report on interventions and outcomes clearly and effectively.
  • Participate in research projects, special interest groups, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Recognised Occupational Therapy degree.
  • Valid and up to date HCPC Registration.
  • Registered member of RCOT.
  • Relevant experience in providing occupational therapy services within a similar setting.
  • Experience working with neurodivergent and/or students with socio-emotional and mental health difficulties.
  • Sound knowledge of occupational therapy theory and its practical application.
  • Ability to work independently, flexibly, and confidently.
  • Clear and concise report writing skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Preferred

  • Experience with sensory integration or sensory-informed practice.
  • Completed or in progress SI practitioner training.
  • Experience working in multi-professional teams within the education sector.
