The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage and challenge students across all key stages.
  • Support the development of a rigorous and innovative curriculum, reviewed annually for continuous improvement.
  • Lead and participate in weekly professional development sessions to enhance teaching practice.
  • Foster a culture of mathematical curiosity through extra-curricular activities, clubs, and enrichment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school, including primary and secondary phases, to support student progress.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing timely and constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Engage in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the development of a positive, inclusive school culture.
  • Participate in pastoral and wider school responsibilities as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Experience in working with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching across multiple key stages.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Experience in extra-curricular or enrichment activities related to Maths.
  • Experience with assessment and data analysis to support student progress.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
