The Opportunity:
A Part-Time Chemistry Teacher is needed to join a successful science department and teach GCSE and A-level Chemistry classes. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing department in a dynamic and inclusive school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach GCSE and A-level Chemistry classes to a range of students.
- Contribute to the development of the science department and its curriculum.
- Support the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that foster student achievement and enthusiasm for chemistry.
- Participate in staff meetings, planning, and professional development activities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance the learning experience for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Chemistry education.
- Experience teaching GCSE and A-level Chemistry.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Mathematics in addition to Chemistry.
- Experience working in a co-educational setting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology in the classroom.
Compensation & Benefits:
