The Opportunity:

As a Payroll Administrator, you will provide essential support to the payroll function within the HR team. This role is ideal for someone with administrative experience and a solid understanding of payroll processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the payroll function with accurate and timely processing of employee payments.
  • Assist in the management of payroll data, ensuring all information is up to date and compliant with legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll and Pensions Specialist to handle ad-hoc tasks and queries.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to payroll and pensions.
  • Ensure all payroll processes adhere to internal policies and external regulations.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and statements for internal review.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and ensure compliance across all functions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous administrative experience, preferably within a payroll or HR environment.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software.

Preferred

  • Experience with payroll software such as SAGE or CIPHR.
  • Understanding of pensions and benefits administration.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
