The Opportunity:
As a Payroll Administrator, you will provide essential support to the payroll function within the HR team. This role is ideal for someone with administrative experience and a solid understanding of payroll processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency in all tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the payroll function with accurate and timely processing of employee payments.
- Assist in the management of payroll data, ensuring all information is up to date and compliant with legal requirements.
- Collaborate with the Payroll and Pensions Specialist to handle ad-hoc tasks and queries.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to payroll and pensions.
- Ensure all payroll processes adhere to internal policies and external regulations.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team as required.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and statements for internal review.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and ensure compliance across all functions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Previous administrative experience, preferably within a payroll or HR environment.
- Knowledge of payroll processes and systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software.
Preferred
- Experience with payroll software such as SAGE or CIPHR.
- Understanding of pensions and benefits administration.
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
