The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join our team and contribute to a dynamic and inclusive Physical Education and Games programme. This is a fixed-term role for the Autumn Term, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners and promote a lifelong love of physical activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons and Games sessions across the Prep age range.
- Support and challenge pupils to develop confidence, skills, and enjoyment in physical activity.
- Contribute to the delivery of netball teaching and coaching as part of the wider Games programme.
- Work closely with the Director of Sport and colleagues to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning.
- Promote inclusive participation and a healthy lifestyle among all pupils.
- Engage in the school’s broader pastoral and community activities.
- Participate in school events, including two Open Mornings and a few Saturdays throughout the year.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching PE at the Prep level.
- Proven experience in teaching or coaching netball in a school, club, or team setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering a broad and engaging PE curriculum.
- Familiarity with the school’s core values of kindness, curiosity, and joy.
- Additional coaching qualifications or experience in other sports.
- Experience with the use of technology in teaching and learning.
