Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach mixed ability classes, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons using a variety of media and resources
  • Design bespoke schemes of work tailored to the complex needs of students
  • Contribute to the development of a flexible, creative curriculum
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources
  • Foster positive relationships with students to support their academic and personal growth
  • Support students in achieving their potential through innovative teaching methods
  • Work within a team-focused environment that values creativity and collaboration

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching English
  • Ability to work with students with SEN and in a trauma-informed setting
  • Strong organisational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in delivering engaging, creative lessons using a range of media

Preferred

  • Experience with AQA English Language or Edexcel IGCSE qualifications
  • Background in trauma-informed teaching or working with students with complex needs
  • Experience in curriculum development and resource creation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
