Teacher of Music Fixed Term – Inspire students and deliver high-quality lessons at a Catholic school.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspirational Teacher of Music (Fixed term maternity cover) to join a thriving department and make a meaningful impact on students’ learning and development. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Music lessons to GCSE and A Level standards
  • Inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential
  • Support students in making outstanding progress across all key stages
  • Contribute to the comprehensive extra-curricular programme
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and independently where required
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and the values of Catholic education
  • Participate in the development and delivery of the Eduqas Music GCSE course
  • Engage with the school’s ethos and culture, including its commitment to Catholic values

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Music
  • Ability to teach to GCSE Grade 9 and A Level A* standard
  • Commitment to Catholic education and school values
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in delivering high-quality lessons and supporting student progress

Preferred

  • Experience working with students aged 11-16
  • Experience with extra-curricular music activities
  • Experience in a Catholic school or academy
  • Experience with the Eduqas Music GCSE course
  • Evidence of professional development and a commitment to continued growth
