Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
- Design and implement engaging, curriculum-focused Science programmes.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Support the development of students’ scientific knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance Science teaching across the school.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the overall development of the Science curriculum.
- Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students where appropriate.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Science teacher with relevant experience.
- Proven ability to deliver Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student progress and achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to Science departmental initiatives.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Familiarity with modern Science teaching techniques and technologies.
- Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
