Personal Assistant to Headmaster – Support the Headmaster of Senior School with administrative and organisational tasks.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Personal Assistant to support the Headmaster of Senior School (Years 9-13). This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the Headmaster’s office and the effective management of school activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Headmaster and contributing to the school’s continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative and secretarial support to the Headmaster of Senior School
- Manage and prioritise written, email, and telephone communications
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute letters, reports, and correspondence
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and paper records and documentation
- Coordinate diaries, meetings, and appointments, including room bookings and hospitality
- Prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items
- Liaise with internal teams and external contacts to support school operations
- Assist with the organisation of school events, including Parents' Evenings and Open Days
- Support the Headmaster in the management of school trips, inspections, and staff development processes
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- British education or qualifications
- Knowledge of the British education system, including IGCSEs, A Levels, and university application processes
- Native-level English speaking ability
- Previous experience in a personal assistant role
- Experience working in an independent or international school
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise under pressure
- Proficient in office software and database management
- Experience using iSams
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to promote safeguarding and welfare of pupils
Preferred
- Working knowledge of Spanish
- Flexibility, tact, diplomacy, and patience
- Enthusiasm, energy, initiative, and a sense of humour
- Experience with school operations and event coordination
