A school is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Physical Education Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis starting in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of students through a wide range of sports and physical activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach a broad range of sports across KS3 to KS4, including GCSE and Technical Awards
• Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and improve teaching standards
• Support the school’s commitment to student achievement and personal development
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Work closely with the school’s leadership team to ensure alignment with the school’s vision and values
• Participate in professional development and training initiatives

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience in teaching Physical Education and Sport
• Rugby Football Union (RFU) Coaching Qualification
• Ability to teach across key stages 3 and 4

Preferred

• Experience in delivering GCSE and Technical Award courses
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for Physical Education
• Experience in a collaborative and innovative school environment
• Commitment to student development and high academic standards
