The Opportunity:
A Science Teacher is needed to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact on student learning. This role offers the chance to teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across KS3 to GCSE and contribute to a school committed to excellence and innovation in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to students from KS3 through to GCSE
- Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students
- Develop and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support student progress and achievement
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and pastoral support
- Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement
- Support the development of students’ academic and personal growth
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and curriculum changes
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or will have QTS by the start date of the position
- Experience teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics from KS3 through to GCSE
- Strong commitment to student achievement and a passion for Science education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience in developing and implementing new teaching methodologies
- Experience with cross-curricular or STEM initiatives
- Leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting
- Experience with pastoral care or student support
