A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Piano Teacher (VMT) to begin in September 2026. This role involves teaching individual lessons and contributing to the department's events and performances. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach individual piano lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Contribute to the school’s music department by participating in concerts and musical events.
  • Support the development of students’ musical skills and confidence.
  • Collaborate with other music staff to enhance the school’s music programme.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging and effective piano lessons.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their progress.
  • Stay up to date with current teaching methodologies and musical trends.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a piano teacher.
  • Strong musical ability and performance experience.
  • Commitment to teaching and developing students’ musical talents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of music theory and pedagogy.
  • Experience with curriculum development.
