Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver well-structured, engaging physics lessons aligned with the curriculum and student abilities
  • Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and academic achievement
  • Inspire students to reach their full potential and cultivate a passion for physics
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department and Learning Support teams to address student needs
  • Promote positive behavior and build strong, productive relationships with students
  • Assign and monitor homework in line with school policy and student workload
  • Maintain high standards of organization and punctuality
  • Support the use of English as the common language and contribute to English for Academic Progress
  • Provide accurate and constructive information to parents through reports, meetings, and communications
  • Assess and track student progress using faculty guidelines and provide timely feedback

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a degree in Physics or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum and IGCSE/GCE A level syllabi
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support student development

Preferred

  • Experience with STEM-based teaching and curriculum development
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices
  • Proficiency in using digital tools to enhance teaching and learning
  • Experience in a British International School environment
