Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics at GCSE and A Level, as well as across the Science curriculum
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support diverse learners
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure academic success
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and challenging learning environment
  • Take on form tutor responsibilities to support student wellbeing and academic growth
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, open days, and school events

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree in Physics or a related subject
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE)
  • Experience teaching Science with the ability to teach Physics at GCSE and A Level
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching and supporting diverse learning needs

Preferred

  • Experience with A Level Physics teaching
  • Proactive and collaborative working style
  • Background in curriculum development
