The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a thriving department and make a meaningful impact on young learners. The role involves delivering engaging Science lessons to students in Years 5 to 8 and contributing to a wide range of extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across all three sciences.
• Teach small groups of pupils, primarily from Year 5 to Year 8, with the possibility of teaching lower year groups.
• Offer an additional STEM subject as part of the curriculum.
• Participate in the school’s extracurricular programme, including after-school clubs and occasional evening sessions.
• Attend all Inset days, Open Day, Speech Day, and parents’ evenings as agreed with the Headmaster.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and development.
• Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven success in delivering all three sciences.
• Ability to confidently teach KS3 pupils.
• Enthusiasm for contributing to extracurricular activities.
• A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

• Experience with teaching younger age groups.
• Experience in delivering STEM-related subjects.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to support after-school and occasional evening activities.
