The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physics Teacher to join a thriving department and contribute to a dynamic, results-driven academic environment. This is a fixed-term position for one year, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Physics at all stages, including A Level, ensuring high-quality delivery and strong student outcomes.
- Contribute to the co-curricular programme and wider life of the school, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Support students in developing their academic and personal skills, including through individual and class-based study.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the department’s teaching and learning strategies.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and student pastoral care.
- Stay up to date with developments in Physics education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons that align with the school’s academic standards and curriculum requirements.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and monitor their progress throughout the academic year.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong background in Physics education.
- Experience teaching at all stages, including A Level.
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a co-educational setting.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
- Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities and school events.
- Familiarity with the UK education system and relevant examination boards.
