Join a Chemistry Teacher - Fixed Term Contract to inspire students and support a growing Science department.

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Chemistry Teacher to join our Science Department on a fixed term contract, covering a maternity absence. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives while contributing to a vibrant and supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach GCSE and A Level Chemistry, ideally.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Science extra-curricular programme.
  • Encourage students to develop a lasting enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Support the school’s Catholic tradition and contribute to the full life of the institution.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
  • Engage with students and parents to support academic and personal growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Chemistry at GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and values.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including part-time and full-time arrangements.
  • Experience in promoting student engagement and enthusiasm for Science.

Preferred

  • Experience with extra-curricular Science activities or leadership roles.
  • Previous experience in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology.
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting other teachers.
