We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Chemistry Teacher to join our Science Department on a fixed term contract, covering a maternity absence. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives while contributing to a vibrant and supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach GCSE and A Level Chemistry, ideally.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the Science extra-curricular programme.
- Encourage students to develop a lasting enthusiasm for the subject.
- Support the school’s Catholic tradition and contribute to the full life of the institution.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
- Engage with students and parents to support academic and personal growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Chemistry at GCSE and A Level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s Catholic ethos and values.
- Ability to work flexibly, including part-time and full-time arrangements.
- Experience in promoting student engagement and enthusiasm for Science.
Preferred
- Experience with extra-curricular Science activities or leadership roles.
- Previous experience in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and technology.
- Experience in mentoring or supporting other teachers.
