Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality physics and Key Stage 3 science lessons that promote student engagement and understanding.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of a broad and balanced science curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through effective assessment and feedback.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities that enrich the student experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to raise attainment and improve teaching standards.
  • Stay up to date with developments in science education and pedagogy.
  • Maintain accurate records and report on student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in physics and Key Stage 3 science.
  • Proven experience of teaching science up to GCSE level.
  • Commitment to raising student attainment and fostering a love of learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching A Level physics.
  • Experience in developing and delivering engaging and innovative science lessons.
  • Experience of working with diverse student groups.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting.
  • Experience of contributing to extra-curricular science activities.
