The Opportunity:

As a Humanities and English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking in students. You will play a key role in shaping confident learners and fostering a love of learning across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Humanities and English across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that support inclusive education.
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to deliver a curriculum that reflects the school’s values.
  • Support students in overcoming barriers and building confidence.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s Literacy Programme and other academic initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Humanities or English.
  • Proven experience teaching Humanities and English at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student success.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering Literacy Programmes.
  • Background in innovative teaching methods or curriculum development.
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational environment.
