The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons to students across the full age and ability range up to GCSE.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve the best possible outcomes in mathematics.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that engage and challenge students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the maths curriculum and support school-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and learning.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching maths at secondary level, ideally up to GCSE.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Ability to teach across the full ability range.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching in a single-sex school setting.
  • Experience with pastoral care or student support.
  • Experience with curriculum development or leadership in a teaching role.
  • Familiarity with using digital tools and resources in the classroom.
