Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate lessons based on the UK National Curriculum with a focus on literacy, numeracy, and inquiry-based learning.
• Provide additional support to students with English as a second language to enhance their understanding and participation in English-medium instruction.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment that encourages student engagement and active learning.
• Assess, track, and report on student progress while differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan cross-curricular units, share best practices, and contribute to school-wide initiatives and events.
• Support the development of students’ social, emotional, and academic growth through culturally responsive teaching.
• Engage in continuous professional development and reflect on teaching practices to improve student outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience teaching in a primary school setting, ideally within a British or international curriculum framework.
• Strong classroom delivery skills and the ability to design engaging, differentiated lessons that meet diverse learning needs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, colleagues, and parents.

Preferred

• Experience supporting EAL learners, particularly Mandarin-speaking students in English-medium classrooms.
• Leadership experience or interest in progressing into middle leadership roles such as Assistant Head or English Lead.
• Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and the use of technology in the classroom.
