Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality drama lessons that align with the UK National Curriculum and IB framework.
• Foster creativity, confidence, and self-expression in students through engaging and interactive teaching.
• Develop and implement drama-based learning activities that support cross-curricular learning and student engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to extra-curricular and co-curricular drama initiatives.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support a supportive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
• Support the school’s mission by promoting international-mindedness and global citizenship through drama education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with QTS and a PGCE in Drama or Performing Arts or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year’s teaching experience in the UK curriculum.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching drama within an international school setting.
• Familiarity with the IB framework and PYP curriculum.
• Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular drama activities.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to innovate and deliver creative lesson plans.
