Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging EAL lessons tailored to the needs of primary students.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports language development and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate EAL strategies across the curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning.
  • Support the implementation of the school’s signature programs and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of a B.Ed. or B.A. & PGCE with QTS.
  • Relevant EAL qualification such as TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA.
  • Proven experience in mainstream teaching with a focus on EAL/ELL students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to Positive Education (PosEd) and student well-being.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative in collaborative projects.

Preferred

  • Experience with international curricula such as the National Curriculum of England, IB, or GCSE/IGCSE.
  • Familiarity with technology-enhanced learning environments and tools.
  • Experience in developing and delivering extra-curricular programs.
  • Previous experience in a school recognized for innovation and academic excellence.
