The Opportunity:

As a Peripatetic Music Teacher, you will deliver high-quality music instruction to students across primary and secondary levels. You will play a key role in fostering a vibrant musical culture and supporting students in developing their performance, composition, and theoretical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated Music lessons across Primary and Secondary year groups
• Plan and deliver lessons covering performance, composition, listening, and music theory
• Deliver structured music programmes aligned with internationally recognized music education frameworks
• Inspire students of varying musical abilities and backgrounds
• Use assessment effectively to monitor student progress and inform teaching
• Lead and support music clubs, ensembles, rehearsals, and productions
• Contribute to concerts, showcases, and wider school events
• Support the development of a strong musical culture across the school

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Formal Qualification in Music
• Proven experience working with Children at Primary and/or Secondary level

Preferred

• Experience supporting music clubs, ensembles, performances, assemblies, or productions
• Experience delivering music instruction aligned to Trinity, ABRSM or equivalent frameworks
• Ability to support instrumental instruction and/or ensemble direction (choir, band, orchestra)
• Experience preparing students for external music assessments or graded examinations
