The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary English & Drama Teacher to join a dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to shape young minds and contribute to a progressive curriculum that includes unique programs such as AI education and social robot-based learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality lessons in English and Drama across KS3 to KS5.
• Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that align with the National Curriculum for England.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student progress and attainment.
• Contribute to the school’s mission of ‘Every Child, Every Mind and Everybody matters’ through inclusive and supportive teaching practices.
• Participate in professional development and staff training initiatives.
• Support extracurricular activities and school events as required.
• Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
• Stay up to date with developments in the subject area and incorporate relevant resources into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
• At least 3 years of experience teaching the National Curriculum for England.
• Experience of teaching English from KS3 to KS5 and Drama at KS3.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

• Ability to teach another subject.
• Experience with AI curriculum or project-based learning.
• Experience with social robots in education.
