Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to the needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support student progress and well-being.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote inclusion, creativity, and academic success.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities that enrich the student experience.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in inclusion education and incorporate these into daily teaching.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school policies and procedures.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education with a SENCO qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching students with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of inclusion education and differentiated instruction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Experience with ASDAN.

Preferred

  • Experience with Positive Education (PosEd) and character development frameworks.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and apps to enhance learning.
  • Experience in a UK or international school setting.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum of England or IB programmes.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
