Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging music lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and values.
Inspire and motivate students to explore and develop their musical talents.
Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music across subjects and enhance student learning.
Organize and lead school-wide music events, performances, and competitions.
Support students in developing confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Assess and monitor student progress through regular evaluations and feedback.
Stay up to date with current teaching practices and musical pedagogies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Qualified teacher with a recognized teaching qualification and relevant experience in primary music education.
Strong musical ability and experience in performing and teaching a range of instruments and vocal styles.
Proven ability to engage and inspire young learners in a classroom setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to the school’s values and mission.

Preferred

Experience with the International Primary Curriculum or similar educational frameworks.
Familiarity with technology in music education, such as digital composition tools or music software.
Experience in extracurricular music programs or ensembles.
Fluency in a second language, particularly Mandarin or English.
