The Opportunity:
As a PE Teacher PYP, you will play a key role in delivering engaging Physical Education lessons that align with the IB Primary Years Programme. You will help students develop essential life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and healthy lifestyles, while contributing to a vibrant and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver age-appropriate Physical Education lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework
- Promote student engagement and participation through creative and inclusive activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student development across the curriculum
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages teamwork and personal growth
- Plan and implement lessons that align with school and IB curriculum standards
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to support student progress
- Encourage lifelong healthy habits through physical activity and movement
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum Diploma qualification in Physical Education or a related field
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in primary school settings
- Strong ability to plan and deliver age-appropriate physical education lessons
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusivity, respect, and empathy in the classroom
Preferred
- Experience with or knowledge of the IB PYP curriculum
- Experience working in a bilingual or international school setting
- Enthusiasm for working with young children and supporting their holistic development
- A growth mindset focused on continuous professional development
