The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach both lower and upper school students, covering a comprehensive curriculum that includes the Bible, Abrahamic faiths, and major world religions.
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage critical thinking and cultural understanding.
- Build strong relationships with students through regular, meaningful interactions in class.
- Support the school’s mission to transform the lives of children, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Participate in school events and community activities that promote a positive and inclusive environment.
- Contribute to the development of the Religious Education curriculum and assessment strategies.
- Uphold the school’s values and behaviour systems to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to train and obtain QTS.
- Experience in teaching Religious Education or a related subject.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to the school’s ethos and values.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching both GCSE and A-Level Religious Education.
- Background in teaching students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
- Familiarity with the Abrahamic faiths and major world religions.
