The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach both lower and upper school students, covering a comprehensive curriculum that includes the Bible, Abrahamic faiths, and major world religions.
  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage critical thinking and cultural understanding.
  • Build strong relationships with students through regular, meaningful interactions in class.
  • Support the school’s mission to transform the lives of children, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in school events and community activities that promote a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Contribute to the development of the Religious Education curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Uphold the school’s values and behaviour systems to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to train and obtain QTS.
  • Experience in teaching Religious Education or a related subject.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos and values.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching both GCSE and A-Level Religious Education.
  • Background in teaching students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
  • Familiarity with the Abrahamic faiths and major world religions.
