The Opportunity:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning effectively and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver targeted interventions and create an inclusive, encouraging environment for students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in class, providing tailored assistance to help them engage with the curriculum.
- Deliver targeted interventions to support learning and progress.
- Assist with the organisation and management of learning support provision across the school.
- Support pupils during assessments and examinations, ensuring appropriate access arrangements are in place.
- Collaborate with the Learning Support Team and academic staff to develop and implement effective strategies for student success.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages growth and achievement.
- Provide guidance and encouragement to pupils, helping them build confidence and independence.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of learning support policies and practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with pupils with a range of learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being.
- Organisational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and interventions.
- Experience with assessment and examination support.
- Familiarity with digital tools and resources used in education.
