Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with learning needs across the school or within a specific subject area.
  • Deliver individualised support to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create a cohesive learning experience.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of learning plans tailored to student needs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to supporting their learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of Discipline, Hard Work, Honesty, and Humility.
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of the local area or similar communities.
  • Experience working in an educational setting, particularly with students with additional needs.
  • An interest in progressing within education, such as towards teaching, educational psychology, or speech and language support.
  • Experience in literacy support or EAL (English as an Additional Language) support.
