The Opportunity:

As a Class Teacher KS2, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of young learners. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching that supports the academic and personal development of students in Key Stage 2. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and teaching standards
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students
  • Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity and critical thinking
  • Support the school’s ethos by participating in staff meetings, INSET days and school events
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of school policies and practices
  • Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes and other pastoral duties as required
  • Take part in extra-curricular activities, including after-school clubs and school trips
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching effectiveness and student outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a PGCE or QTS
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Excellent organisational, communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection

Preferred

  • Experience working in a small school environment
  • Background in inclusive education or teaching students with diverse learning needs
  • Experience in extra-curricular or pastoral roles
  • Familiarity with behaviour management strategies
  • Experience in preparing students for external assessments
