The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Religious Studies Teacher to join our thriving department, where you will inspire students across Years 7 to 13. This is a chance to contribute to a department known for its academic excellence, engaging curriculum, and strong student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Religious Studies to students across Key Stages 3, GCSE, and A Level.
  • Deliver a rigorous and engaging curriculum that fosters critical thinking and a deep understanding of world religions.
  • Plan and implement trips and enrichment activities that enhance classroom learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, ideas, and best practices.
  • Support students in developing confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of Religious Studies.
  • Promote inclusivity, diversity, and the values of the school community.
  • Contribute to the co-curriculum and student well-being initiatives.
  • Maintain high academic standards and ensure outstanding results in GCSE and A Level exams.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree and qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Religious Studies to students at KS3, GCSE, and A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Religious Studies.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of students.

Preferred

  • Experience with the AQA and Eduqas specifications.
  • A track record of achieving outstanding student results.
  • Experience in co-curricular or extra-curricular activities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
