Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
  • Support the development of the department’s co-curricular programme.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure outstanding outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching methods.
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and educational research.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience in teaching Mathematics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting that values innovation and diversity.
  • Leadership experience or a willingness to take on departmental responsibilities.
  • Experience with curriculum development or co-curricular programme design.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and its integration into teaching.
