The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Resident Graduate Assistant – Sport to join our vibrant school community. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the sporting and pastoral life of the school, while supporting the development of students through sport, music, and boarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the boarding team by providing assistance to Houseparents and wider boarding staff.
  • Act as a Chorister Chaperone, accompanying students during rehearsals, Evensong, and Sunday services in Chapel.
  • Assist with sport-related activities, including coaching, officiating, and teaching students aged 5–13.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular programme and support school events such as concerts and sports days.
  • Attend and supervise meals with boarders, promoting good table manners and healthy eating.
  • Organise and supervise fun, stimulating activities for boarders during their free time.
  • Support boarders with drama exam preparations and evening study sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A graduate-level qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children in a pastoral or educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Preferred

  • Experience in sport coaching or teaching.
  • Experience with chaperoning or pastoral care.
  • Knowledge of music or drama education.
  • Experience in a boarding or residential school environment.
