Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality early years education in line with the school’s vision and curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, LSAs, and external professionals to support the learning and development of all pupils.
  • Implement and promote the school’s commitment to Talk for Writing, including sharing best practices with visitors and colleagues.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and carers to support children’s learning and well-being.
  • Participate in the school’s professional development programme and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
  • Ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and confidence in young learners.
  • Support the school’s values of Community, Kindness, Respect, and Excellence in all aspects of teaching and behaviour.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress to ensure that all children reach their full potential.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in early years education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience of or interest in Talk for Writing approach.

Preferred

  • Experience working with Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or a desire to support professional growth.
  • Experience in a school that has achieved awards for educational excellence or inclusion.
  • Familiarity with the Primary National Curriculum and specialist subjects such as music, drama, and computing.
