The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counselling to students to support their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualised support plans.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to parents and school staff.
  • Deliver workshops and sessions on topics such as stress management, study skills, and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and interventions.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive school culture.
  • Support students with special educational needs and ensure they receive appropriate guidance and resources.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in school counselling and continue professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant specialism such as counselling, psychology, or education.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a counselling role within a school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with the British curriculum and international education standards.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student well-being initiatives.
  • Knowledge of mental health and emotional support strategies.
