The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and guide students in their personal, social, and academic development.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address student concerns and promote mental well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Develop and implement school-wide programs that promote student welfare and resilience.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and interventions.
  • Participate in professional development and training initiatives.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission by fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist in the delivery of guidance and support services aligned with the American curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree and further therapeutic training or qualification in working with children and young people.
  • One to two years of experience working as a School Counselor.
  • Experience working with local communities and Emirati students and families.
  • Bilingual Arabic and English speaker.
  • Open to working in an American Curriculum School (guidance and training provided).
  • Enthusiastic and flexible approach with a can-do ethos.
  • Innovative and reflective practitioner with a commitment to continuous learning.

Preferred

  • Experience in an international or multicultural educational setting.
  • Familiarity with child protection and safeguarding policies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with curriculum development or student support programs.
